Wondered how good this award is. Would it really help with sales and reputation?

I entered the competition with REDEMPTION, in the novella/short story/poetry category. It wasn't a good category, but REDEMPTION is not long enough for the full-blown Romance category.

REDEMPTION

I didn't get the award. Of course. The category is not for romance short story. The winners were poetry and short story collection.

I don't write long stories because I'm bad at prose and descriptions. Even when I'm reading, I'd jump ahead to actions and dialogues. If I find the description important, then I'll go back to read it.

And that's why I didn't win this year, and maybe never.
