Fletch (1985), Fletch Lives (1989)

This was in the same genre as North by Northwest (1959).  Don't believe what they said about "comedy, crime, mystery."  It was more of a suspense, but at no point that I felt the main character, Fletch, was in serious mortal danger.  It wasn't funny either.  It was more of a "guess whodunit" plot.  It did keep me guessing what was going to happen next.  ⭐⭐⭐

Fletch 2 was in the same vein as the first one.  There were many twists at the end so it was still very enjoyable.  I understood Chevy Chase's humor more in this one.  He referenced a lot of things that I did not know.  However, for the references that I did know, he talked way too fast; if I didn't catch it, then I totally missed it.  ⭐⭐⭐
