Work Life, #4

ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED ON 05 APRIL 2025:  A squirrel stopped by the office window to ask for peanuts.  Look at that face.  How could I say no?  A coworker determined that it's a girl.  Boss asked me what to name her.  Hmm...

Hello, my name is Peanut.

UPDATE 13 APRIL 2025:  I've decided to name her Peanut.  We could see her mammary glands turning darker, three on each side of the body.  So we think she is a nursing mommy.  We have to feed her now.

UPDATE 16 APRIL 2025:  I've been warned by the company peeps that no feeding wild animals.  Peanut came back three times today outside the window.  She circled back and worth on the windowsills; she stood up to press herself onto the glass, as if to see inside.  She climbed onto a broken tree trunk, as if to get a better view inside.  I kept saying "I'm sorry.  I'm sorry."  😢😭

UPDATE 26 APRIL 2025:  It's been two weeks since we stopped feeding Peanut, but she still came to the office.  Wonder why she didn't give up.  I feel so bad.  Her tail didn't seem as fluffy as before.  😢😭

She stood up to see us!

Please feed me!

UPDATE 13 MAY 2025:  After a month of not feeding, Peanut still came back to visit.  I was happy to see her doing well, even if I was not feeding her, but I was sad that I left her disappointed.

Hm, is anybody home?

Why aren't you feeding me?

Look at my fluffy tail!

UPDATE 11 JULY 2025:  Look at me sitting pretty on my throne!
